Loss of Income for business owners does not cover power outages automatically.... last year our area suffered financial loss when we were hit by hurricane Irma. The few that had significant property damage were able to collect Loss Income coverage. Because of new building codes most of our business properties had minor property damage but they were out of business until power was restored!!! And for most business that was up to 10 days and thousands of dollars. You can purchase a rider that will coverage for such a event. Ask your agent to add this coverage to your policy.
